No Shave November

Today begins No Shave November, or as my Norwegian roommates say "No Shave Nowember." For those of you who don't know what that is, it's exactly that. Not shaving for the entire month . Each guy in my school is going to do it so it should be filled with incredibly gross "dirtstaches." It will be fun though. So, this week I found out I found out that I will be going to Bali, Indonesia for 2 weeks and after that I will finish out the remainder of the 3 months in Battambong, Cambodia. In Bali, we will be helping a village build a water storage tank and teaching them how to make pumps . While in Battambong, we will be helping out at orphanages and doing other stuff that I will let you know as soon as they tell me. Its cool to finally know exactly where I am going.

Last night was Halloween, as I'm sure all of you know. And the church that I am going to, Solid Rock Ministries, decided to have an event to reach out to the community. They have done this for the past couple of years. They take over a local gym and turn it into a life-size Candyland (the board game) maze. Look at my flickr page pictures I have some pictures of the event. It was a huge success. 2500 people from the community came.

This week, instead of lecture, we helped out in the community. Half of the week we did landscaping at a YWAM property called King's Mansion. I got to chop down elephant grass and papaya trees with a machete. From the machete alone my "man stock" went up several points. The other half of the week was helping to make and set up props for the Candyland event.

Now I have to get to bed. Sorry it took me couple of days to get to the blog. I am going to do my best to blog more often. Some weeks, I am seriously to busy to do everything I need to do. So, hopefully, this next week won't be too crazy. Until next time.
