So I made it to Hawaii. The flight in was kinda rough because I didn't have a seat that reclined until I got to the 35 minute plane ride to Kona from Honolulu. When I had arrived I was going on about 48 hours with 3 hours of sleep.Needless to say, it is absolutely amazing here. Everyday it's about 85ยบ and sunny. One thing thats kind of weird is that the sun goes down every night at about 6:30pm the whole year round. So I end up getting to bed at a reasonable hour (10pm). It's pretty cool. While we do go to bed early, we also get up pretty early. On the weekdays breakfast is at 6:15 and on the weekends its at 8. Weekdays are pretty normal as far as school goes. We are in lecture for about 5 hours a day. After that, we have our 2 hours of work duty and most nights we have the rest of the night to do homework and/or hang out. But Whatever, you probably don't really care about my schedule.
We went to the beach today - Harpuna Beach. There are pictures on my flickr page so check them out if you get a chance. The water at the beach was refreshing, but not too cold. It was sunny for most of the day and waves were perfect for body surfing and boogie boarding. We played football in the ocean, grilled hotdugs and hamburgers on the beach, and swam all day. Our whole Compassion DTS school went, it was a sweet day.Well I have to try to fnish up my homework thats do on Monday, but I'll post again as soon as I can.
