Support Letter

Friends and Family,

About a month ago I applied and was accepted to the University of the Nations, a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) school in Kona, Hawaii. Thursday September 27, 2007 I will board a plane bound for Hawaii, returning after three months of school and two months in a field assignment in Cambodia, Thailand, or Indonesia.

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) encompasses thousands of people and hundreds of ministries in almost every country of the world. From different Christian denominations, 149 countries, and speaking hundreds of languages, YWAMers (as they are known) have the shared passion to know God and to make Him known.

The YWAM schooling process will prepare me to serve by developing a deeper understanding of God’s love and the servant mind-set. After three months of intensive classes and local missions trips, a group of graduates will head to far-east Asia to further the Kingdom.

As with all support letters that end up on your refrigerator, I am first and foremost asking for your prayers as I head off - I’ll need all the prayer that I can get. Additionally, I would ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting me financially as I work to raise the $8,000 I need for this trip. I greatly appreciate your support in any capacity - if you and your family feel led to support my trip I’ve included a self-addressed stamped envelope to aid in the process.

In either instance I’d love to discuss my trip further with you and answer any questions that you may have. Catch up with me on my cell phone, via email: danf102 @ gmail.com or on my blog: df07.blogspot.com - I hope to speak with you soon!

Thanks for your support,
Dan Francis
